Waikato 125 is an initiative driven by Angela O’Leary to celebrate 125 years of women’s suffrage in the Waikato and in turn celebrating 125 pioneering Waikato women.

Identity, website and brand collateral was created for the event along with a commemorative award for each of the 125 women being recognised.

Linking to the koru form within the logo, an individual slip cast koru was digitally modelled and machined to allow for the full set to be slip cast out of porcelain. Local Waikato high school students were then asked to decorate each of the pieces before being awarded at a high tea celebration.
